Our Canberra Recommendations

See The Autumn Leaves in Canberra. A friend of ours is a highly accomplished Arborist who travels around Australia for his work. He bought to our attention that Canberra has the most colourful Autumn trees in the country because of our weather. We got to thinking that this is not something that is promoted enough in Canberra.

If you are going to be here during the Autumn months, we would highly recommend that you take a walk around Lake Burley Griffin, the southern side of the foreshore in the main basin is a beautiful display of colour.

With this said we would like to introduce you to our new Manager Melissa (whom we adore!)….

How long have you lived in Canberra?

“All up we have lived in Canberra for 18 eventful months.”

How long have you worked at Canberra Furnished Accommodation and what do you do here?

“I have been working here for 6 months now and I have the pleasure of motivating and coordinating my wonderful team to create an amazing experience for our guests.”

What is your favourite touristy thing to do in Canberra?

“I would highly recommend an experience on the Lake Cruises, round up a group of friends and take the day out to view Canberra whilst cruising around Lake Burley Griffin.”

What do you love most about Canberra?

“I enjoy the simplicity that Canberra offers, whether it be a chilled out Sunday afternoon with live music at stage 88 or packing some yummy snacks and heading to Sky Fire for the evening.”

What is your favourite restaurant in Canberra?

“Mmmm.. it would have to be Delissio in Curtin, they do the best white chocolate gnocchi dessert.”

Home Care and Organisation Tip

If your kettle is looking a little worse for wear on the inside but is trustworthy and has plenty of life left in it, rather than throwing it out, fill it with equal quantities of, water and white vinegar and bring to the boil.

You will be amazed at your gleaming new kettle and with no elbow grease spared.
