If you are moving house…
Its might be exciting to move into your new home but it isn’t so exciting moving out of the old one is it?!
We are fortunate to have a number of guests who are in the process of moving or renovating come and stay with us at Canberra Furnished Accommodation. Here are some tips they have shared with us:
- Purge! Don’t pack the stuff you don’t use or want. Let it go.
- Help! Can you hire some professionals? Failing that, do you have any strong friends who owe you a favour or two?
- Notify! Let people know your new address. Even if you are starting a whole new life and leaving friends behind, you will still need to give your new address to the people who send you regular mail (AKA bills).
- Fluffy! Consider how your pets will get from one place to the next with minimal disruption.
- Prevent! Pad the corners of your stairways and protect your floor coverings to ensure your furniture and property aren’t damaged.
- Make life easier and stay at Canberra Furnished Accommodation instead of trying to sleep, cook and live among the chaos!

Christmas in the snow
Our fearless leader, Laurie McDonald, loves to spend Christmas in the snow. While the rest of us are sweltering in the heat, Laurie and her family will be cruising the slopes and enjoying some well earned hot chocolate (AKA Hot Sake!).
